"Geometric Mother and Baby Pangolin" Art Print by Ariella Charny

"Geometric Mother and Baby Pangolin" Art Print by Ariella Charny

Geometric, captivating pangolin mother and baby, in all their beauty and fragility.

Pangolins are the only mammals covered in scales, and are found on the African and Asian continents. They eat ants, and the babies ride on their mothers' tails!

Unfortunately, pangolins are also the most illegally trafficked mammal in the world, and they are highly endangered. What's more is that the illicit pangolin trade has been linked with the spread of the COVID-19 virus to humans.

The painting highlights both the beauty and uniqueness of these creatures, as well as their precarious situation in our contemporary society.

This piece is available in two sizes, 40x40 cm and 50x50 cm, framed or unframed. Framed prints will be printed on our standard matte paper, and unframed prints on our archival matte paper.

Meet the Artist

Ariella has been drawing since age 4 and trained as an artist, but on her 30th birthday, decided to take the leap and make art her professional endeavor.

Drawing inspiration from people, Judaism, nature, geometry and movement, Ariella's vibrant artworks grapple with the fragile and delicate balances in life. They are informed by tensions between unity and fragmentation, moment and movement, real and imagined. She connects deeply with Pablo Picasso's saying, "Art is a lie that makes us realize truth."

Ariella is passionate about using art to raise awareness about sustainability. She donates a portion of the sales from her artwork of endangered animals to conservation efforts.
